How different is Australian franchise law from Singapore?

Significantly different. Australia operates under a mandatory Franchise Code of Conduct with specific disclosure obligations, cooling-off periods, and documentation requirements. These apply regardless of where your brand is headquartered.

Do we need to have an Australian entity set up before expanding?

Not necessarily at the outset, but the structure of your Australian market entry — master franchise, direct franchising, or corporate-owned, has material legal and tax implications. This is one of the areas the webinar will address.
